Fioretti with three points as the Warriors double up the Winterhawks.

MOOSE JAW, Sask. - Sam Fioretti scored once and added two assists as the Moose Jaw Warriors beat the visiting Portland Winterhawks 4-2 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.

Torrin White, Jordan Wyton and Brayden Point also scored for the Warriors (3-3-0) and Morgan Rielly chipped in with two assists.

Brendan Leipsic and Ty Rattie responded for the Winterhawks (4-2-0).

Daniel Wapple made 32 saves to earn his first WHL victory. Brendan Burke made 29 saves in a losing effort for the Winterhawks.

Moose Jaw failed to score on six chances with the man advantage while Portland went 1-for-6.

White gave the Warriors a 1-0 lead when he scored his first goal of the season short-handed.

The Warriors took a 2-0 lead into the first intermission thanks to Fioretti and doubled their lead in the first 2:33 of the middle frame when Wyton and Point scored goals 1:10 apart.

The Winterhawks came out strong in the third period. Leipsic scored on a five-on-three power play before Rattie scored his first goal of the season to get Portland back to within two goals.
