CALGARY - Jay Fehr scored a power-play goal 49 seconds into overtime to lead the Brandon Wheat Kings to a 7-6 win over the Calgary Hitmen in Western Hockey League action Saturday night.
Andrew Clark assisted on the goal and scored twice in regulation for the Wheat Kings (34-15-3-1), while Brayden Schenn also scored two times. Matt Lowry had a goal and an assist, Nathan Green added a single and Colby Robak and Scott Glennie each had two assists.
Paul Postma scored twice and had an assist for the Hitmen (43-7-3-1), while Kyle Bortis had a goal and an assist. Brandon Kozun, Kris Foucault and Ian Schultz added singles, while Alex Plante and Jason MacDonald had two helpers apiece.
Brandon goalie Andrew Hayes made 36 saves to record the victory, while his Calgary counterpart Martin Jones stopped 24 of 30 shots at the other end.
