Farrell's late goal pushes Frontenacs over IceDogs 3-2 in OHL opener

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - Michael Farrell's power-play goal late in the second period stood up as the winner as the Kingston Frontenacs defeated the Niagara IceDogs 3-2 in the OHL opening game for both teams Thursday night.

Rookie Andrew Fritsch and Andrew Agozzino had given the IceDogs a 2-0 lead before Kingston came back on goals by Alan Quine and Zach Harnden.

The IceDogs outshot the Frontenacs 39-36 before 2,812 fans.
