Erat to make Capitals debut with familiar face

by Ben Raby

Martin Erat will make his Washington Capitals debut Thursday when his new team faces the New York Islanders.

However, he'll have a familiar face near him as it appears Erat will play on a line with Joel Ward. The two were teammates with the Nashville Predators.

In addition, Eric Fehr will return to the lineup for the Capitals after missing four games with an upper-body injury.

Fehr's return will push Jason Chimera out of the lineup as a healthy scratch for the first time this season.

Braden Holtby will start in goal for the Capitals, and Evgeni Nabokov will get the start for the Islanders.

The Capitals enter the game 10th in the Eastern Conference, three points behind the ninth-place Islanders.
