RALEIGH, N.C. - Elias Lindholm scored with 37.8 seconds left in overtime to lift the Carolina Hurricanes to a 3-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday night.
Scott Hartnell scored two goals for the Blue Jackets, who lost their seventh straight game.
Hartnell's goals came in the second period after Columbus fell behind 1-0 on a goal by Carolina's Jeff Skinner at 2:43. Hartnell tied the game at 1-1 at 11:15. He then he gave the Blue Jackets the lead at 18:44 when he put a rebound past Carolina goalkeeper Cam Ward, who made his fifth straight start.
Carolina's Victor Rask tied the game at 2-2 with 8:09 left in the game with a shot through traffic.
Carolina, which won its fourth straight game, outshot the Blue Jackets 35-31.
