Eichel leads U.S. rout at Five Nations Tournament
by NHL.com StaffJack Eichel, Sonny Milano and Alex Tuch each had three points and Edwin Minney made 25 saves to lead the United States to an 8-3 victory against Finland in the second game of the Under-18 Five Nations Tournament at Dmitrov Arena in Dmitrov, Russia.
Eichel, considered by many to be a top-five pick for the 2015 NHL Draft scored two goals.
Johnathan MacLeod, Dylan Pavelek, Shane Gersich, Dylan Larkin and Ryan Wagner also had goals for the United States, which will play Sweden on Friday at Dmitrov Arena.
Milano, No. 16 on NHL Central Scouting's midterm ranking of the top North American skaters for the 2014 NHL Draft, had three assists. Tuch, No. 21 on the midterm list, had a goal and two assists.
Minney, No. 2 on Central Scouting's midterm list of the top draft-eligible goalies in North America, was solid throughout as the Americans notched their second win in as many games at the tournament.
The U.S. is seeking its first Five Nations title since 2011 and its sixth overall.
