Dziurzynski scores goal, two assists as Blades blow out Cougars 7-3 @NHL

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. - Darian Dziurzynski had a goal and two assists in the first period, leading the Saskatoon Blades to a 7-3 victory over the Prince George Cougars in WHL action Sunday.

The Blades (19-7-2-0) scored five times in the first period, with other goals by Milan Kytnar, Adam Chorneyko, Gaelan Patterson, Derek Hulak and Walker Wintoneak, who added two.

Dallas Jackson and Justin Maylan, with two goals, replied for the Cougars (10-18-0-1), who have lost four games in a row to open a seven-game homestand and are on a five-game losing streak overall.

Saskatoon netminder Braden Holtby stopped 36 shots for his 16th victory of the season.

Joe Caligiuri allowed three goals on 11 shots for the Cougars, replaced by Kevin Armstrong, who stopped 25 of 29 shots.
