SEATTLE - Dustin Tokarski stopped 34 of 35 shots to lead the Spokane Chiefs to a 2-1 victory over the Seattle Thunderbirds on Sunday in the Western Hockey League.
Judd Blackwater and David Rutherford scored for Spokane in the second period.
Sena Acolatse replied for Seattle, which outshot Spokane 35-16.
The win gave Spokane (48-14-1-5) 102 points on the season. The Chiefs are tied atop the Western Conference with the Tri-City Americans.
Riku Helenius made 14 saves for Seattle (39-22-5-2).
