Drummondville forward Riendeau takes weekly QMJHL offensive award @NHL

BOUCHERVILLE, Que. - Drummondville Voltigeurs forward Yannick Riendeau and Saint John Sea Dogs defenceman Simon Despres were named the QMJHL's offensive and defensive players of the week on Monday.

Riendeau had three goals and four assists to help the Voltigeurs go 3-0. Quebec's Kelsey Tessier, Gatineau's Paul Byron and Saint John's Payton Liske were also considered.

Despres had a goal and five assists for Saint John and finished the week plus-3.

Drummondville's Antoine Tardif, Gatineau's Hugo Laporte and Acadie-Bathurst's Nicholas Champion were also considered.
