Driedger 25 saves, Bubnick two goals as Hitmen blank Ice 3-0 @NHLdotcom

CALGARY - Chris Driedger stopped all 25 shots he faced as the Calgary Hitmen shutout the visiting Kootenay Ice 3-0 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.

Jimmy Bubnick scored twice for the Hitmen (44-25-3), who clinched the third seed in the Eastern Conference, Peter Kosterman had a single goal while Greg Chase picked up an assist on all three.

Nathan Lieuwen stopped 14 shots as the Ice (36-26-10) dropped their fifth straight game.

Calgary went 0 for 3 on the power play as Kootenay failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.
