Daugavins has three assists as Majors hang on for 4-2 win over Generals

OSHAWA, Ont. - Kaspars Daugavins had three assists as the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors took a 3-0, then held on for a 4-2 win over the Oshawa Generals in OHL action Sunday.

Kale Kerbasian, William Wallen, Jared Gomes and Kyle Neuber had the goals for the Majors (33-24-1-2). Gomes' empty-net score in the final minute clinched the victory.

Brett Parnham and Jeff Brown had power-play goals for the Generals (24-29-2-4).

Mississauga goalie Chris Carrozzi stopped 26 shots, as did Oshawa's Michael Zador.

The Generals were 2-for-7 with the man advantage, while the Majors were 0-for-3.
