OTTAWA - Defenceman Tyler Cuma scored the deciding goal in the shootout's sixth round as the Ottawa 67's beat the Niagara IceDogs 2-1 in Ontario Hockey League action Sunday afternoon.

Thomas Nesbitt had a goal for Ottawa (7-10-5), while Chris Perugini stopped 36 shots.

Reggie Traccitto was the lone scorer for Niagara (8-12-4), while Mark Visentin finished with 28 saves.

Cuma beat Visentin with a nifty one-handed deke after all six Niagara shooters failed to score on Ottawa's Perugini and the first five Ottawa shooters all came up short.

"There's a couple of moves that I've kind of got up my sleeve," said Cuma. "I wasn't really looking for that one."

"I wanted to shoot low blocker and I saw that he was taking it away, he went down and I've got a nice long reach here so I pulled it back to the backhand and put it in one-handed."

Thomas Nesbitt's goal a little more than five minutes into regulation time gave Ottawa a lead that stood up until Reggie Traccitto scored on the power play midway through the third period.
