Coyotes riding high after 3-game win streak @NHLdotcom

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -Bumping and jostling each other for every inch, the Phoenix Coyotes went through a spirited practice before leaving on a three-game road trip.

Coming off a hat trick-infused win streak, these guys are clearly feeling good about themselves after a rough start.

One of the NHL's surprise teams a year ago, the Coyotes struggled early this season, unable to keep traffic away from goalie Ilya Bryzgalov or to find much scoring.

Phoenix has shaken free of the early doldrums by scoring in bunches.

The Coyotes have an NHL-best four hat tricks, including in the last two games by Vernon Fiddler and Ray Whitney. Not bad for a defensive-minded team that's had one hat trick in each of the past two seasons.
