Cousins nets two, Leier with three points as Phantoms down IceCaps @NHLdotcom

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Nick Cousins had a pair of goals as the Lehigh Valley Phantoms downed the St. John's IceCaps 5-1 on Wednesday night in American Hockey League action.

Taylor Leier added a goal and two assists for the Phantoms (3-4-0), the Philadelphia Flyers farm club. Shayne Gostisbehere and Kevin Goumas rounded out the attack.

Sven Andrighetto had a power-play goal to open the scoring for St. John's (5-2-2), which had picked up points in its previous six games.

Anthony Stolarz kicked out 17 shots for the win while Dustin Tokarski made 23 saves for the IceCaps.

Lehigh Valley scored once on four power plays with St. John's going 1 for 3.
