Columbus signs Guite to one-year deal

Guite, 32, was scoreless with 4 penalty minutes in six games with the Nashville Predators in 2009-10. He also had 8 goals, 21 points, 87 penalty minutes and was plus-3 in 64 games with Milwaukee of the American Hockey League, and added 3 goals, 1 assist and 6 PIM in seven playoff games for the Admirals.
The Montreal native has 19 goals, 45 points and 97 penalty minutes in 175 career NHL games with Boston, Colorado and Nashville. He set career highs with 11 goals, 11 assists, 22 points and 47 PIM in 79 games with Colorado in 2007-08. In 487 career AHL games with Bridgeport, Cincinnati, Providence, Albany and Milwaukee, Guite has 82 goals, 216 points and 425 PIM.
