MEDICINE HAT, Alta. - Colton Sceviour scored a pair as the Lethbridge Hurricanes thrashed the Medicine Hat Tigers 5-1 and ensured home ice advantage for the playoffs.
Luca Sbisa, Mitch Fadden and Dan Iwanski also counted for Lethbridge.
Travis Dunstall scored for the Tigers.
Ryan Holfeld stopped 19 of 23 shots in goal for the Tigers. Tomas Vosvrda turned away one of two shots in a short relief stint in the third period. Juha Metsola turned away 32 shots in goal for the Hurricanes.
The Hurricanes locked up third overall in the WHL Eastern Conference standings at 44-21-2-4. They will face the Brandon Wheat Kings in the first round of the playoffs.
Medicine Hat finishes the season at 43-22-5-2. The Tigers still hold fourth place in the overall Eastern Conference standings a point ahead of the 42-21-5-3 Kootenay Ice. The Ice travel to Calgary Sunday to conclude the regular season against the Hitmen.
