PORTLAND, Ore. - Colin Reddin scored two goals to lead the Portland Winter Hawks to a 2-1 win over the Kelowna Rockets in Western Hockey League play on Sunday night.
Kelowna outshot Portland 34-17, but Reddin's second goal broke a 1-1 tie in the third period and gave Portland (1-1) its first win of the season. Kelowna got the first goal at 4:07 of the second period, on a power play. Reddin then connected on a power play at 5:24 to tie the game.
Evan Bloodoff scored the lone goal for the Rockets (0-2)
Portland goalie Jordan White made 33 saves for his first win of the season, while Rockets goalie Kris Lazaruk made 15 saves to fall to 0-2.
