CALGARY - Cody Sylvester scored his second goal of the game in overtime to lead the Calgary Hitmen to a 4-3 win over the Saskatoon Blades in Western Hockey League action Friday.
Sylvester took advantage of a turnover by Blades defenceman Dalton Thrower in the Saskatoon zone and chipped a shot up and over the glove hand of goalie Andrey Makarov.
Jimmy Bubnick and Victor Rask also scored for the Hitmen (39-23-3), who have won three straight games. Trevor Cheek had a pair of assists.
Josh Nicholls and Dalton Thrower had a goal and an assist each for the Blades (36-25-3), while Matej Stransky scored his team-leading 35th goal of the season.
Brandon Glover started in net for the Hitmen and stopped 16-of-19 shots before being replaced by Chris Driedger after Saskatoon went up 3-1 at 9:14 of the third period.
Driedger then stopped all seven shots he faced and Sylvester and Rask scored in the third as Calgary rallied to win the game in front of 10,259 fans at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
Makarov finished the game with 37 saves.
