Clifford reaches 20 goals with hat trick as Colts cruise past Peterborough 7-2 @NHLdotcom

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Kyle Clifford scored a hat trick to reach the 20-goal plateau for the first time in his Ontario Hockey League career as the Barrie Colts defeated the Peterborough Petes 7-2 Thursday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

Clifford also assisted on Bryan Cameron's 39th goal of the season. Cameron is tied for the OHL goal-scoring lead with Jeff Skinner of the Kitchener Rangers.

Alex Hutchings, Colin Behenna and Taylor Carnevale also scored for Barrie (44-7-2), which leads the league with 90 points.

Jack Walchessen had a goal and an assist and Joey West also scored for the Petes (25-27-3), who fired 38 shots at Colts netminder Peter Di Salvo.

Jason Missiaen was pulled by Peterborough after allowing five goals on 27 shots. Andrew D'Agostini stopped two of four in replacement.
