Cimadamore scores twice, adds two assists as Rangers beat Battalion 6-1 @NHLdotcom

KITCHENER, Ont. - Julian Cimadamore scored twice and added two assists as the Kitchener Rangers shelled the Brampton Battalion 6-1 in OHL action Tuesday.

The first goal of the game was also Brampton's last. Matt Duchene scored at 3:48 in the first period, but Cimadamore tied it up less than two minutes later.

Cimadamore scored again at 10:23 in the second period to kick off a five-goal scoring spree for the Rangers. T.J. Battani, Tyler Randell, Steve Lock and Ben Shutron each scored in the second period for Kitchener, which improved to 16-18-1-1.

Rangers goalie Peter Van Buskirk made 27 saves, while at the other end Patrick Killeen stopped nine shots for the loss. Battalion starter Brandon Foote was chased after making 25 saves over two periods and Brampton dropped to 22-11-1-1.
