Ciarelli scores in OT,leads Wheat Kings to series win over Hitmen @NHLdotcom

WINNIPEG - Paul Ciarelli scored his second goal of the game 8:26 into overtime and the Brandon Wheat Kings advanced to the Western Hockey League Eastern Conference semifinals with a 3-2 win over the Calgary Hitmen on Thursday.

The Wheat Kings won the best-of-seven first-round series 4-1.

Ciarelli also scored the tying goal at 4:14 of the third period that sent the game to overtime.

Alessio Bertaggia also scored for Brandon.

Alex Gogolev and Chase Clayton replied for Calgary.
