Chiefs with third game in as many nights, 5-3 over Silvertips @NHLdotcom

EVERETT, Wash. - The Spokane Chiefs completed a sweep of three games in three nights in three different cities, defeating the Everett Silvertips 5-3 Sunday evening in Western Hockey League action.

Spokane grabbed control by scoring twice in a span of 26 seconds midway through the first period to take a 3-2 lead. Then Blake Gal scored a short-handed breakaway during a four-minute Everett power play ? during which the Silvertips were held without a shot on goal ? midway through the second period to secure Spokane's advantage.

Todd Fiddler, Mike Aviani, Mitch Holmberg and Marek Kalus also scored for Spokane (20-13-5).

Eric Williams earned the win in goal, making 27 saves.

Ryan Murray, Kohl Bauml and Trent Lofthouse scored for Everett (7-25-8).

Kent Simpson stopped 29 shots in goal for the Silvertips.
