CHICAGO - The Chicago Blackhawks are quite familiar with the dire situation the Los Angeles Kings have fallen into. After all, they were in the same hole one round ago.
So the Blackhawks want to close out the Kings in Game 5 of the Western Conference finals on Saturday night and avoid giving the defending Stanley Cup champions any hope of a big comeback. The top-seeded Blackhawks know firsthand that one win can turn around a series.
Chicago dropped three of the first four games in the second round against Detroit, then returned home and beat the Red Wings 4-1 in Game 5. The momentum moved over to the Blackhawks, who earned two more victories to advance.
Now the Kings, down 3-1, will be trying to get this series back to Los Angeles for Game 6.
