Carruth backstops Portland Winterhawks to 3-1 win over Seattle Thunderbirds @NHLdotcom

KENT, Wash. - Mac Carruth made 39 saves to help the Portland Winterhawks to a 3-1 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds in Western Hockey League play Saturday night.

Brad Ross, Ryan Johansen and Nino Neiderreiter scored for Portland (44-25-3).

Brandon Rouse had the only goal for Seattle (18-41-12).

The win gives the Winterhawks a perfect 12-0 record against the Thunderbirds this season.

Seattle outshot Portland 40-36 in the game but converted on only 1-of-7 power plays in the game.
