Canadiens agree to terms with Dumont, Ellis @NHLdotcom

Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin announced on Monday that the team has agreed to terms on one-year, two-way contracts (2015-16) with forward Gabriel Dumont and defenseman Morgan Ellis.

Dumont, 24, suited up for three games with the Canadiens in 2014-15. He registered eight hits and four shots on goal while playing an average of 9:07 per game. Dumont added 45 points (20 goals, 25 assists) in 66 games with the AHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs. Named as team captain at the beginning of the season, he enjoyed his most successful season in the AHL in goals, assists and points, ranking respectively second, fourth and third on the Bulldogs.
