CALGARY - Jimmy Bubnick and Cody Sylvester each scored twice as the Calgary Hitmen advanced to the second round of the Western Hockey League playoffs with a 6-2 win in Game 7 of their series with the Moose Jaw Warriors on Monday.
Brandon Kozun added a goal and two assists for the regular-season champion Hitmen, who rebounded from a 3-1 deficit to take the best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarter-final series 4-3. Tyler Shattock had a goal and an assist, while Michael Stone and Cody Beach each chipped in with a pair of helpers.
Jason Bast and Dylan Hood scored for the Warriors, who won the first two games of the series and held a 3-1 advantage before the Hitmen reeled off three straight victories.
Calgary goaltender Martin Jones made 25 stops, while Moose Jaw's Jeff Bosch stopped 28 shots at the other end.
The Hitmen move on to face the Medicine Hat Tigers in the second round, with Game 1 set for Friday night in Calgary.
