Bryan Pitton stops 33 shots as Brampton defeats Peterborough 2-0 @NHLdotcom

BRAMPTON, Ont. - Bryan Pitton turned aside 33 shots for his second shutout of the season as the Brampton Battalion skated to a 2-0 win over the Peterborough Petes on Sunday afternoon Ontario Hockey League action.

After a scoreless first period, Kevin Peroff put the Battalion (15-10-1-2) on the board with his first goal of the season at 16:29 of the middle stanza, firing a low wrister from the point that eluded Petes (11-16-0-1) goaltender Trevor Cann.

The 1-0 score held until Mike Lomas scored his 10th of the season with 9:11 remaining in the third period, with a shot from the high slot.

Cann made 31 saves in a losing effort.
