BOSTON, MA – Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today, Monday, December 8, that the club has assigned forward David Pastrnak to the Providence Bruins (American Hockey League).
Pastrnak appeared in five games for Boston, including his NHL debut against the Pittsburgh Penguins on November 24. The forward picked up his first NHL point and assist on December 1, when he assisted on Brad Marchand's second period goal against the Anaheim Ducks.
In 17 games with Providence, Pastrnak has notched five goals and 13 assists for 18 points with a plus-12 rating. On November 3, the AHL named the 18-year-old forward the CCM/AHL Rookie of the Month for October when he tallied two goals and seven assists with a plus-8 rating in seven matchups for Providence.
