BOSTON -- Bruins President Cam Neely
released a statement Thursday night regarding the decision made by the Quebec prosecutor's office not to issue criminal charges against Boston captain Zdeno Chara
for his hit on Montreal forward Max Pacioretty
during a game this past March.
"The Bruins organization respects the process that the Quebec prosecutor's office undertook regarding Zdeno Chara
and we are satisfied with their announcement today," Neely said in the statement. "We now consider this matter closed and the organization will have no further comment."
