Bruins' Griffith to miss 3-4 weeks with knee injury

Boston Bruins forward Seth Griffith sustained an MCL sprain in his left knee Sunday against the New Jersey Devils and will miss 3-4 weeks, the Bruins announced Monday.

Griffith played 30 games with the Bruins as a rookie, scoring six goals and 10 points in 30 games. He had 12 goals and 31 points in 39 games for Providence of the American Hockey League in his second pro season.

The Bruins defeated the Devils 2-0 in the preseason opener for each team.
