Brown has hat trick as Oshawa Generals hold off Kitchener for 5-4 win @NHLdotcom

OSHAWA, Ont. - Jeff Brown had three goals and an assist as the Oshawa Generals jumped out to a 4-0 lead and held on for a 5-4 win over the Kitchener Rangers in Ontario Hockey League action Sunday afternoon.

Defenceman Alex Dzielski chipped in with a goal and an assist for the Generals (22-32-5), while Christian Thomas scored the other goal short-handed.

Chris MacKinnon, Jeremy Morin and Gabriel Landeskog each had a goal and an assist for the Rangers (37-17-5), while Matthew Tipoff also tallied.

Oshawa's Michael Zador made 32 saves for the win in goal. Mike Morrison stopped 30 shots in net for Kitchener.

It was the Generals first win in 11 games.

The Rangers were 2-for-8 on the power play. Oshawa failed to score on six chances.
