Broncos score three power-play goals to down Pats 5-2 @NHL

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - Spencer McAvoy, Geordie Wudrick and Keegan Dansereau scored power-play goals to power the Swift Current Broncos to a 5-2 win over the Regina Pats in WHL action Tuesday night.

The Broncos converted on 3-of-7 power plays while Regina finished 0-for-1. Wudrick extended his goal-scoring streak to seven games. Dillon Wagner and Jan Dalecky had the other goals for Swift Current (35-27-1-1), which moved to within a point of fourth-place Medicine Hat in the Eastern Conference standings.

Swift Current goalie Travis Yonkman stopped 26 shots - including a penalty shot - for his 21st win of the season.

Jordan Eberle and Tomas Hricina replied for the Pats (25-32-1-5). Eberle was stopped on the penalty shot attempt.

Regina goaltender Linden Rowat stopped 36 shots.
