The 2008-09 NHL season officially kicks off Saturday with a European invasion and the Bridgestone NHL Premiere All-Access Show will be on location.
As part of NHL.com’s extensive coverage of the Bridgestone NHL Premiere 2008 Series, television broadcasters Sam Rosen and Rick Peckham will be live from the O2 Arena in Prague on Saturday with analysis, interviews and special guests during the NHL Premiere All-Access Show beginning at 11:30 a.m. ET.
The New York Rangers
will battle the Tampa Bay Lightning
as part of Bridgestone NHL Premiere Prague at the O2 Arena, while the Ottawa Senators
face the Pittsburgh Penguins
in the Bridgestone NHL Premiere Stockholm at the Globe Arena. The same teams will play again Sunday at their respective venues.
Czech Republic Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek, who is hosting an NHL Premiere reception at the historic Prague Castle for the Rangers and Lightning, will be featured during the afternoon online broadcast. The show also will offer a feature on the European influence in hockey.
Rosen is the primary play-by-play announcer for the New York Rangers
on MSG Network. Peckham is the play-by-play man for the Tampa Bay Lightning
