Brett Sonne leads Hitmen to 5-1 win over Blades @NHL

CALGARY - Brett Sonne had a goal and two assists to lead the Calgary Hitmen to a 5-1 win over the Saskatoon Blades in Western Hockey League action Wednesday night.

Kyle Bortis added a goal and an assist for the Hitmen (52-7-3-1), who tied a franchise record with their 30th win of the campaign on home ice. It was also Calgary's ninth straight victory.

Joel Broda, Carson McMillan and Paul Postma also scored, while Michael Stone chipped in with a pair of assists.

Burke Gallimore notched the lone goal of the game for the Blades (43-15-3-1).

Calgary goalie Martin Jones made 26 saves to record his 39th victory, tying former Hitmen goalie Alexandre Fomitchev for the franchise record for wins in a season.

Saskatoon netminder Braden Holtby stopped 33 of 38 shots he faced at the other end.
