Brent's two-goal performance lifts Rockford to 4-1 triumph over Manitoba
NHL.com @NHLdotcomWINNIPEG - Tim Brent scored twice to lead the Rockford IceHogs to a 4-1 win over the Manitoba Moose on Friday night in the American Hockey League.
Brent opened the scoring 20 seconds into the game, and added his 11th of the season into an empty net with 11 seconds remaining as the IceHogs (25-19-0-4) beat the Moose for the second straight night.
Adam Pineault and Danny Groulx added singles while Antti Niemi stopped 28 shots to earn the win for Rockford.
Pierre-Cedric Labrie had the lone goal for Manitoba (32-14-0-3), which has lost back-to-back games for the first time since the beginning of January.
Cory Schneider started in goal for the Moose, but was pulled early in the second period after surrendering three goals on eight shots. Curtis Sanford relieved, and stopped all 15 shots he faced.
