Brandon Rowinski scores the winner as the Hitmen edge the Tigers 2-1 @NHLdotcom

CALGARY - Brandon Rowinski scored the game-winning goal and had an assist as the Calgary Hitmen edged the Medicine Hat Tigers 2-1 in WHL action Sunday afternoon.

The Hitmen trailed 1-0 until Keith Seabrook slapped a point shot past Medicine Hat goalie Ryan Holfeld 7:42 into the third period. Rowinski then converted a feed from Kyle Bortis at 12:05 of the final frame and the Hitmen (23-11-1-2) were able to hang on for their second straight win.

Trevor Glass scored the lone goal of the game for the Tigers (20-13-3-1) in the first period.

Calgary goalie Martin Jones made 24 saves to improve his record to 11-5-0, while Holfeld stopped 25 of 27 shots in a losing cause.
