Braes scores twice to lead the Hurricanes past the rebels 5-1 @NHLdotcom

RED DEER, Alta. - Cam Braes scored twice and Damien Ketlo stopped 42 shots as the Lethbridge Hurricanes defeated the Red Deer Rebels 5-1 in Western Hockey League action on Friday.

Brody Sutter, Jay Merkley and Nick Buonassisi also scored for Lethbridge (6-19-1).

Colten Mayor scored the lone goal for Red Deer (14-6-2).

Rebels goaltender Patrik Bartosak allowed four goals on 38 shots before being replaced by Bolton Pouliot early in the third period. Pouliot stopped three of four shots in relief.

The Hurricanes went 2-for-3 on the power play while Red Deer scored once on five opportunities with the man advantage.
