OTTAWA (CP) - Brady Morrison made 28 saves Friday night to lead the Ottawa 67's to a 4-0 win over the Peterborough Petes in Ontario Hockey League action Friday.
Morrison was also aided by his goalposts as the Petes (19-24-0-3) hit four of them.
Thomas Nesbitt and Mathieu Methot scored first period goals for the 67's (20-20-0-3) while Derek Joslin and Jamie McGinn scored early in the third period to complete the scoring.
Ottawa could have had several more goals had it not been for the efforts of Jason Missiaen who stopped 50 of the 54 shots he faced.
The 67's went 1-for-7 on the power play while the Petes were blanked on their five opportunities.
"He played really well for us. When you give a team that many power plays you start to overwork your goaltender but he played really well for us," said Petes coach Vince Malette.
"We hit four goalposts. We couldn't finish around the net and when (the 67's) had chances they finished. Then we seemed to stop moving our feet and start taking penalties."
Methot had an assist for the 67's to go along with his goal while Tyler Cuma collected two helpers.
