WINDSOR, Ont. - Bradley Snetsinger scored the eventual winner to lift the Windsor Spitfires to a 4-1 win over the London Knights in Ontario Hockey League action Monday.
Elgin Reid, Ryan Ellis and Adam Henrique added goals for the Spitfires (6-0-0-1).
Kyle Kerbashian replied for London (0-6-0-0).
The longtime rivals exchanged goals and fists during a spirited first period.
Reid opened the scoring eighty seconds in before Kerbashian got one back with just over four minutes left in the period.
Ellis, a rookie defenceman selected in the second round of this year's draft, continued his impressive play at both ends of the ice. His second goal of the season was also his eighth point in seven games this year.
Windsor's only blemish this season was a shootout loss to the Mississauga-St. Michael's Majors. It took Windsor 19 games last season to reach the 13-point mark, which they accomplished in just seven games this season.
Andrew Engelage made 19 saves for Windsor.
Stephane Caesar was replaced by Stephan Herring in London's goal at the start of the third period. The London netminders combined to stop 31 Windsor shots.
The winless Knights are playing with star players Patrick Kane, Sam Gagner and Steve Mason still with their NHL clubs.
