Boyer gets hat trick as Seattle hands Silvertips worst loss in team history @NHLdotcom

KENT, Wash. - Jeremy Boyer scored three goals and added an assist to lead the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 10-0 rout of the Everett Silvertips in the final game of the regular season for both teams on Sunday in WHL action.

The 10-goal margin was the worst defeat in franchise history for Everett.

Devon LeBlanc scored twice and Stefan Warg, Luke Lockhart, David Richard, Brad Haber and Jeremy Schappert also scored for Seattle (35-32-1-4), which will open the playoffs in either Kelowna or Spokane on Friday.

Goaltender Kyle Jahraus got the shutout for the Thunderbirds, making 27 saves in his first game of the season.

Kent Simpston stopped 34 shots for the Silvertips (27-36-7-2), who will face the Tri-City Americans in their first-round series, starting Friday.
