Boychuk scores twice to lead Hurricanes to 5-2 win over Hitmen @NHLdotcom

CALGARY - Zach Boychuk scored twice to lead the Lethbridge Hurricanes to a 5-2 win over the Calgary Hitmen in Western Hockey League playoff action Tuesday night.

With the win, the Hurricanes jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference final series with Game 2 slated for Friday night back at the Pengrowth Saddledome.

Ben Wright, Colton Sceviour and Dwight King also scored for the Hurricanes, while Mitch Fadden set up three goals.

Michael Stone had a goal and an assist for the Hitmen, while Carson McMillan scored his first goal of the post-season.

Lethbridge goalie Juha Metsola made 17 saves to pick up the win, while Calgary netminder Martin Jones stopped 14 shots at the other end.
