Boughner replaces Lowry as coach of Canadian under-18 men's team @NHLdotcom

CALGARY - Bob Boughner has replaced Dave Lowry as head coach of Canada's under-18 men's hockey team because the Calgary Flames have hired Lowry as an assistant coach.

Boughner, a 10-year NHL veteran, coached the Windsor Spitfires to a Memorial Cup this year and has twice been named the Ontario Hockey League and Canadian Hockey League coach of the year.

The Canadian under-18 team will have a selection camp Aug. 1-4 in Calgary. The team then heads to the Ivan Hlinka Memorial tournament Aug. 11-15 in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Chris DePiero of the Oshawa Generals and Mark Holick of the Kootenay Ice, who were named assistant coaches on May 20, remain on the coaching staff.
