CHICAGO -- Patrick Kane will try to extend his point streak to 25 games when the Chicago Blackhawks play the Winnipeg Jets at United Center on Friday.

Kane's streak is the longest in Blackhawks history and longest by an American-born player. A point against the Jets will match a 25-game streak by Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby in 2010-11, which is the NHL's longest point streak since 1992-93, when Mats Sundin had a point in 30 straight games for the Quebec Nordiques.

Kane scored Chicago's goal in a 5-1 loss at the Nashville Predators on Thursday to keep the streak alive.

"It's nice to see that," Chicago forward Andrew Shaw said, "but I know he's the type of guy that would rather have a win than keep a streak going."

Goalie Corey Crawford will start for the Blackhawks, and defenseman Trevor Daley will get back into the lineup after missing two games with an upper-body injury. Daley was injured during a collision with Winnipeg forward Chris Thorburn in Chicago's 3-1 win against the Jets at United Center on Sunday.

"He was just a little banged up there," Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said. "We talk about, 'Was he [knocked] out?' I don’t think he was out at all. He was just sore. Back skating within a day or so. Skated the last two or three days. Probably could have played [Thursday]; we figure back to back we'll put him in tonight."

Chicago reassigned forward Marko Dano to Rockford of the American Hockey League on Friday. Dano, who was scratched the past three games, has a goal and assist in 13 games with the Blackhawks.

Winnipeg defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 6-4 at MTS Centre on Thursday. Neither the Jets no Blackhawks held a morning skate.

Winnipeg coach Paul Maurice hadn't announced his starting goalie. Rookie Connor Hellebuyck started Thursday; he is 4-0-0 with a 1.71 goals-against average and .939 save percentage.

Michael Hutchinson, who lost to Chicago on Sunday, is 4-1-1 with a 1.33 goals-against average and .961 save percentage in six starts against the Blackhawks. Hutchinson has lost his past four starts and is 1-7-1 with a 3.68 GAA and .874 save percentage in his past 10 games.
