Benn, St. Denis score in third period as Rockets defeat Raiders 3-1 @NHLdotcom

KELOWNA, B.C. - Jamie Benn and Kyle St. Denis scored third-period goals for Kelowna as the Rockets defeated the Prince Albert Raiders 3-1 in Western Hockey League action on Wednesday night.

Also scoring for Kelowna (6-5-0-0), which trailed 1-0 after the first period, was Colin Long, who tied the game midway through the second period with his eighth goal of the season.

Replying for Prince Albert (6-6-0-0) was former Rocket forward Justin Bernhardt, who opened the scoring midway through the first by jamming in a goalmouth scramble.

Steven Stanford made 31 saves for the Raiders, including 15 in the second period, while Kris Lazaruk turned aside 14 shots for the Rockets.
