Benn scores and adds three assists as Rockets hammer Americans @NHLdotcom

KELOWNA, B.C. - Jamie Benn came to play on Tuesday night. So did the Kelowna Rockets.

Benn scored a goal and added three assists as the Rockets drilled the Tri-City Americans 7-2 in Western Hockey League playoff action at Prospera Place. After losing the first two games of the best-of-seven Western Conference semifinal series with sub-par play, both one-goal losses, the Rockets now trail 2-1. Game 4 goes Wednesday in Kelowna.

Mikael Backlund, Stepan Novotny, Cody Almond, Ian Duval, Tyler Myers and Lucas Bloodoff also scored for Kelowna.

Justin Feser and Zach Yuen replied for Tri-City, which trailed 2-0 and 6-1 at the period breaks.

Chet Pickard took the loss for Tri-City, making 18 saves on 23 shots before getting pulled, while Mark Guggenberger made 14 saves for the Rockets.
