Belleville Bulls have eight unanswered goals to beat Generals 8-2 @NHLdotcom

OSHAWA, Ont. - The Belleville Bulls scored eight unanswered goals in the third period to stampede to an 8-2 win over the Oshawa Generals in Ontario Hockey League action Sunday night.

Alex Aleardi scored twice to lead the Bulls, who erased a 2-0 deficit by the 2:36 mark of the third, and blew the game open with four goals in a span of four minutes.

Shawn Lalonde and Adam Payeri each had a goal and two assists for Belleville (13-22-6). Luke Judson, Michael Curtis, Kyle DeCoste and Cody Alcock also scored for the Bulls, who won their second straight.

Jeff Hayes and Jeff Brown scored in the second period for the Generals (16-19-4).

Michael Zador made 25 saves to carry a shutout into the third period for the Generals, but was driven from the net by allowing five goals on the next 12 shots. Kevin Bailie allowed three goals on only five shots.

Philipp Grubauer stopped 33 in net for the Bulls.

Both teams had six power plays, with Belleville scoring twice and Oshawa once.
