Belesky nets hat trick, including OT winner, as Belleville downs Ottawa 4-3 @NHLdotcom

OTTAWA - Matt Beleskey had three goals, including the overtime winner, as the Belleville Bulls beat the Ottawa 67's 4-3 in OHL action Friday.

The Bulls (18-8-2-1) overcame 2-0 and 3-2 deficits to record their third win in four tries over the 67's (13-13-1-2) this season.

Stephen Blunden had the other goal for the Bulls and Mike Murphy made 35 saves for the win.

The 67's got two goals from Jason Bailey along with a goal and two assists from Mathieu Methot. Ottawa netminder Adam Courchaine wasn't overly busy until the third period and he had little chance on the winner as Beleskey was left alone in front of the 67's goal.

"We gave up the tying goal in the final minute of the second period," said 67's coach Brian Kilrea.

"And then the one guy you don't want to have alone in front of the net is Beleskey and we didn't contain him, that's for sure."

The Bulls went 0-3 on the power play while the 67's were 1-4.
