Bauer scores game-winner late in third period as Everett shades Portland 4-3 @NHLdotcom

EVERETT, Wash. - Clayton Bauer scored the game-winning goal with 2:45 left in regulation as the Everett Silvertips defeated the Portland Winter Hawks 4-3 Saturday night in WHL action.

Bauer scored on a rebound during a power play as Everett (17-16-0-2) managed four goals despite missing its top two scorers - Kyle Beach was out with a concussion and Zach Hamill was suspended.

Jordan Mistelbacher, Dan Gendur and Vitali Karamnov also scored for Everett and Leland Irving made 23 saves to earn the win in goal.

Jacob Dietrich scored twice, Tyler Swystun also scored and Kurtis Mucha stopped 21 shots in goal for Portland (6-27-0-1).
