NASHVILLE -- The Nashville Predators will try to continue their outburst of offense when they host the Anaheim Ducks at Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday (8 p.m. ET; PRIME, FS-SD, FS-TN).
The Predators have scored 15 goals in their past three games, including a 7-5 win against the Ottawa Senators on Nov. 10 and a 7-0 win against the Winnipeg Jets four days later.
"We've had a lot of games where we've had a lot of chances and we just couldn't find the back of the net," Predators defenseman Roman Josi said. "We just told ourselves to keep going and eventually those pucks are going to go in. We believe we have to play a certain way to be successful. Sometimes there is a couple of games where the luck is not on your side, but you just stick with it and they're eventually going to go in."
Josi said the Predators are shooting the puck with a lot of confidence. They feel like every shot they take has a chance of finding the net.
"If you score a lot of goals, that gives you some confidence," Josi said. "You just want to keep shooting and hopefully the goals keep coming."
Anaheim won 4-1 against the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday in the first game of a four-game road trip and is hoping that win can be a launching pad for success for the remainder of the trip.
"We've got to come in here, and we've got to play better against this team," Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said. "Confidence builds as it goes. It's like a snowball that gets bigger going downhill. We won our first game in three and it felt good, but today is a day where we're playing a much tougher opponent. If we could sneak one out here, it would make it easier [to have] more confidence going down to Florida."
