Asuchak scores twice to lead the Cougars past the Silvertips 4-1 @NHLdotcom

EVERETT, Wash. - Spencer Asuchak scored twice, leading the Prince George Cougars to a 4-1 victory over the Everett Silvertips on Friday night in Western Hockey League action.

Cody Carlson and Martin Marincin also scored for Prince George (6-12-1), who pulled out of a tie with Everett for last place in the Western Conference.

Austin Adam scored his first career WHL goal for Everett (4-14-3), who has lost six straight.

Drew Owsley earned the win in goal with 18 saves while Kent Simpson stopped 27 shots for the loss.

The Cougars went 1-for-3 on the power play as everett failedto scoreon three opportunitieswiththeman advantage.
